Our Math Foundations class builds strong conceptual understanding through hands-on exploration and meaningful application.
• Number sense and fluency (within 20 and beyond as developmentally appropriate)

• Mathematical vocabulary and discussion
Through math games, manipulatives, collaborative problem-solving, and guided small groups, children build both competence and confidence.
We focus on understanding over memorization, helping children see math as something they can explore, reason through, and enjoy.

Language Foundations integrates reading, writing, and oral expression within a literacy-rich environment grounded in the Science of Reading.
We use the Rooted in Language curriculum as our instructional blueprint, ensuring alignment with structured literacy practices and strong foundational skill development. At the same time, we thoughtfully adapt and differentiate lessons to meet the developmental needs, pace, and interests of our students.
• Phonemic awareness and early decoding skills

• Collaborative building and imaginative play
• Monthly cooking projects that integrate math, science, and life skills
Through child-led exploration and guided experimentation, students develop problem-solving skills, collaboration, confidence, and independence.
The focus is on purposeful play, scientific curiosity, and learning through real-world experiences.

Roots & Wings nurtures social awareness alongside social-emotional growth, helping children feel grounded in who they are while building curiosity about the world beyond themselves. • Collaborative murals and thematic art projects
• Story plays and creative expression
Through interdisciplinary themes like oceans and space, students connect art to science, literacy, and inquiry. The focus is on skill-building, problem-solving, and developing each child’s artistic voice through purposeful play.

Nature Detectives brings learning outdoors through hands-on exploration and playful observation of the natural world.
• Nature walks and guided outdoor discovery
• Simple habitat studies (plants, insects, birds, and small animals)
• Seasonal science observations and weather tracking
• Nature journaling with drawing and early writing
• Sensory exploration using sight, sound, touch, and smell
• Caring for our environment through simple stewardship practices
Through movement, curiosity, and guided questioning, children build early scientific thinking skills while developing a meaningful connection to nature.
The focus is on wonder, observation, and learning to see the world as young scientists.
