Parent Involvement
Roseville Community School (RCS) is a parent participation program. We recognize that parents are the first and primary teachers in a child's life. We both need and appreciate the unique skills and talents that our parents contribute to the learning environment. Parent involvement supports our belief that we learn best in a multi-aged community.
At RCS, students, parents, and teachers work together to create a dynamic learning environment. Parents may act as facilitators in the classroom, provide supervision on the play ground, and model positive adult behavior no matter where or how they get involved with RCS. Each family is encouraged to actively participate in the daily activities of the school in addition to general maintenance responsibilities throughout the year. This helps to foster knowledge about our program and creates a mutual sense of ownership.
Parent contribution is vital to RCS. While most families are able to participate, we recognize that this is not always possible. We provide various volunteer projects to accommodate different schedules and the availability of each family.
