Now Enrolling for Spring Semester!
Our Younger Program supports elementary homeschool learners (Grades 1-2) with a balance of academic foundations, project-based learning, and opportunities for independence. Students explore literacy, math, science, social studies, and creative arts through hands-on experiences that connect learning to the real world. With small class sizes and flexible scheduling, children grow confidence, practice social-emotional skills, and take ownership of their learning in an engaging and collaborative environment.

Tuesday-Friday 9:00-12:30
Our day starts with a warm, community-focused gathering where students participate in movement, songs, games, and meaningful conversations. Social-emotional learning is woven throughout the day as children practice empathy, communication, emotional regulation, and collaborative problem-solving.
Students build foundational math skills through hands-on exploration, manipulatives, and real-world problem-solving. Lessons strengthen number sense, measurement, patterns, estimation, graphing, and early logic and reasoning skills, all presented in playful, developmentally aligned ways.
Literacy instruction follows the Rooted in Language program and the Science of Reading. Students develop phonics, handwriting, spelling, vocabulary, reading fluency, and comprehension. Creative activities—storymaking, poetry, bookmaking, and guided writing—support confidence and skill-building, reinforced through one-on-one teacher conferencing.
Using an inquiry-based, emergent curriculum, students explore topics such as communities, world cultures, animals, habitats, seasons, geography, and environmental awareness. Learning comes to life through hands-on projects, stories, art, and nature-based investigations that nurture curiosity and deepen understanding of the world.
Tuesday-Friday 12:30-1:30
Open Play is a cherished part of the RCS experience, giving students time to connect, move their bodies, and build friendships through meaningful play. Each afternoon, children enjoy lunch together followed by supervised play in our sand yard, small field, and outdoor game areas. This unstructured time supports social–emotional development, cooperation, creativity, and exploration.
For Morning Core Students:
Open Play may be added to your child’s schedule as an optional program extension from 12:30–1:30 PM (Tuesday–Friday).
For Full-Time & Afternoon Enrichment Students:
Open Play is already included in your program at no additional cost.

Cooking & Nature Maker’s Lab (Integrated Enrichment Class)
Tuesday-Wednesday
In this rotating enrichment class, students explore two complementary learning experiences: guided cooking with our on-campus chef and Nature Maker’s Lab, a creativity-driven science and engineering workshop.
Cooking with Our Chef
Students work in small groups to prepare simple, seasonal recipes using real tools and proper kitchen safety practices. Each session builds confidence and independence while introducing nutrition, culinary skills, and the joy of sharing a meal together.
Nature Maker’s Lab
In this interdisciplinary “maker” class, students design, build, and experiment using natural and upcycled materials. Projects might include wind-powered creations, outdoor engineering challenges, nature journals, or plant-based art. Children learn observation, problem-solving, collaboration, and respect for the environment.
Students rotate between cooking and nature-based making, giving them a well-rounded, hands-on learning experience that blends science, creativity, and real-world skills.
Musical Theater
Thursday- Friday
Our Musical Theater program invites students to step into the world of storytelling through acting, singing, movement, and creative expression. In this enrichment class, children learn the foundations of stage performance while building confidence, teamwork, and communication skills in a supportive environment.
Students explore character development, vocal projection, choreography, and improvisation, all while working together to rehearse and perform a full production for families. Along the way, they practice important skills such as collaboration, public speaking, emotional expression, and creative problem-solving.
Whether a child loves being center stage or prefers working behind the scenes, every student has a meaningful role in bringing the show to life. This class is designed to nurture creativity, build self-esteem, and help students discover the joy of performing arts.
