The literacy workshop integrates reading, writing, and oral communication through a structured, research-based approach. Instruction is grounded in the Science of Reading, with a strong emphasis on phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, vocabulary development, and comprehension.
We use the Rooted in Language curriculum as our instructional framework, thoughtfully adapting lessons to meet students where they are while maintaining structured literacy principles. Through explicit instruction and guided practice, students build strong foundational skills alongside a deep understanding of text structure and meaning.
• Phonics and decoding fluency
• Reading comprehension strategies
• Vocabulary development
• Story mapping
• Introduction to grammar and sentence structure
• Speaking and listening skills
Instruction blends structured literacy with rich literature, guided reading groups, writing workshops, and meaningful discussion. Students are supported in becoming confident readers, expressive writers, and thoughtful communicators.

Students work in teams to design solutions, reflect on outcomes, and strengthen communication and leadership skills.
By blending science, movement, workshop skills, and collaboration, Team Builders Lab helps students develop resilience, critical thinking, and confidence while learning to work effectively with others.

Songbirds Studio builds confidence and communication skills through performance, storytelling, and expressive arts.
Students explore:
• Dramatic play and character development
• Script reading and storytelling
• Stage movement and vocal projection
• Collaborative production projects
• Creative writing for performance
Each semester culminates in a live performance experience, giving students the opportunity to share their work with peers and families in a supportive environment.
The focus is on confidence-building, teamwork, and growth through the creative process. We emphasize collaboration, resilience, and creative expression — valuing the journey of learning and preparation over a polished final product.
Through rehearsal and performance, students develop communication skills, empathy, and the courage to step into the spotlight.
This is a combined, school-wide class that brings together students ages 6–12 to collaborate toward a shared final performance experience. Because students work collectively as an ensemble across multiple age groups, class enrollment may be larger than our typical courses, and the student-to-teacher ratio may exceed our standard 14:1 ratio. Additional instructional support and assisting staff are present to ensure students receive appropriate guidance, supervision, and meaningful participation throughout rehearsals and performances.
Tuesday & Thursday| 11:00–12:30 AM
Annual Cost $1,350 | Monthly $150 (Sep-May)
Art Around the World combines creative expression with social studies exploration as students discover how art reflects the people, places, and cultures of our global community.
Through hands-on art projects and guided discussions, students explore artistic traditions from different regions of the world while learning basic geography and cultural awareness. Each unit introduces students to new countries, environments, and communities, helping them understand how art communicates stories, history, and everyday life.
Students engage in:
• Creating art inspired by cultures from around the world
• Exploring maps, continents, and global locations
• Learning about traditions, celebrations, and daily life in different communities
• Experimenting with diverse artistic materials and techniques
• Connecting art to storytelling, history, and cultural identity
By integrating art and social studies, students develop creativity alongside curiosity and respect for global perspectives. Art Around the World encourages young learners to see both the uniqueness and shared experiences of people across cultures while expressing their own ideas through artistic creation.
