Our classes work best when children are ready to take part in a group learning environment. Before enrolling, we ask that students are generally able to:

• Separate from caregivers independently
• Demonstrate a willingness to participate
• Transition between activities
• Work without constant one-on-one support
• Stay with their class and group
• Manage basic self-care tasks
• Respond to challenges in an age-appropriate way

RCS is a parent-participation learning community. Families enrolling in 2 or more classes take part in the life of our school — volunteering, attending events, and showing up for the community. It’s one of the things that makes RCS what it is, and we walk through exactly what it looks like during your campus tour and admin meeting, so expectations are clear from day one.

RCS is an approved vendor with six local charter schools, so families can use their student’s educational funds to cover part or all of their program fees.

A visit day confirms RCS is the right fit before full-time or part-time enrollment. Visits run about half a day and give your child a chance to join class sessions, meet teachers, and take part in our academic and enrichment activities.

Visit days for 2026 are free. After a successful visit, your family receives an enrollment contract.

Every child deserves a place to grow. RCS is an independent learning center and is not legally bound by special education mandates such as IEPs or 504 Plans. Even so, we care deeply about setting every student up for success.

We work collaboratively with families and are glad to review outside assessments to help determine whether our program model is a good match for your child’s needs. Where appropriate, family-provided aides may be considered based on classroom fit and capacity. During your visit day and admin meeting, we’ll talk openly about your child’s needs so we can make the best decision together.
