• Nature based exploration includes gardening, cooking, natural art, and farmers market that will inspire students to connect to local habitats, explore biodiversity, and engage in citizen-science and STEM projects.

• Research, create hypotheses, experiment, collect data, and analyze results within various scientific topics.

• Learn life skills while actively participating in the farm to fork process: plant, care for, harvest, clean, prepare, eat, and/or sell.

• Cook and try new foods that will lay the groundwork for making healthier choices while integrating math and science.

• Map and explore places near and far, (like their own bedroom or Africa), as well as places real and unreal (story mapping of places like Neverland or the creation of their own campground).

• Incorporate social studies, geography, language arts, and include a field trip to the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose.
