How It Works

The process is straightforward. Hereโ€™s how most families get started.

1

Check your eligibility

Contact your charter school learning coach to confirm RCS is an approved vendor and how much of your allotment can be applied.

2

Choose your classes

Select the classes or enrollment option that fits your child. Individual classes, T/TH, M/W/F, or full-time — we’ll help you find the right fit.

3

Submit a purchase order

Through your charter school’s portal or with your learning coach, submit a Purchase Order (PO) to Roseville Community School for your selected classes.

4

Charter pays RCS directly

Your charter school sends funds directly to RCS on your behalf. Any remaining balance not covered by the PO is the family’s responsibility. You’re all set!

FAQs

What if my charter school isnโ€™t on this list?

Contact us directly. We are always open to becoming an approved vendor for additional charter schools. Reach us at contact@yourrcs.org or (916) 304-4774 and weโ€™ll explore the options together.

What if my charter funds donโ€™t cover the full tuition?

Any remaining balance after the charter PO is applied is the familyโ€™s responsibility. Weโ€™ll invoice you for the difference and work with you to make enrollment as accessible as possible.

How long does charter PO processing take?

Processing times vary by school โ€” typically 2 to 6 weeks. We recommend initiating your PO as early as possible, especially for fall enrollment, to ensure everything is in place before the school year starts September 8.

Can I use charter funds for individual enrichment classes?

Yes โ€” charter funds can typically be applied to individual class enrollment including Songbirds Studio, Art Studio, and the Culinary Program. Check with your learning coach to confirm which classes qualify under your allotment.

Can my HST visit the school or talk with the teachers?

Absolutely โ€” we welcome it. If your Home Study Teacher would like to view our school alongside your family, or discuss curriculum, progress, or documentation directly with our teachers, we're happy to arrange that. We see your HST as a partner in your student's education and want to make their job as easy as possible.

How often are charter funds submitted?

Charter funds are submitted monthly.

We are paid on a net-30 basis โ€” meaning payment is issued within 30 days after the classes have already been completed. In other words, we provide the instruction first, and payment follows once the class period is finished.
