Flexible, whole-child learning for 2026–2027. Whether your child joins us for one course or a full week, they'll find a nurturing community where they are truly known.
What We Offer
At Roseville Community School, we offer a rich, progressive educational experience where children learn through curiosity, creativity, and meaningful connections. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to nurture the whole child while building strong academic foundations.
-
At RCS, we believe the early years are too important to rush. The Robins program for ages 5–7 is grounded in the progressive education tradition of Bev Bos — where children learn by doing, relationships come first, and every child's natural curiosity is treated as the greatest teaching tool there is. This is Kindergarten the way it was meant to be.
-
Learning looks different in the Hummingbirds classroom. For ages 6–8, our curriculum is built around the belief that children thrive when they feel safe, seen, and genuinely engaged. Academic skill-building happens alongside cooking projects, artistic exploration, and collaborative discovery — because at RCS, everything is connected.
-
The Owls program is built for curious, growing learners ages 7–9 who are ready for deeper academic challenge alongside rich hands-on experiences. Reading, writing, and mathematical thinking are woven through project-based learning that connects classroom concepts to the real world. Owls students learn to ask better questions, think more critically, and show up for one another every day.
-
At this age, students are ready to engage with the world in a more meaningful way. The Hawks program for ages 8–10 is built around that readiness — connecting academic learning to hands-on application through culinary arts, makers workshops, and collaborative project work. We believe capable kids deserve to be challenged, supported, and trusted.
-
The Eagles classroom is where RCS students step into their full potential. For ages 9–12, we ask more — more critical thinking, more creative expression, more leadership within the community. And we give more in return: teachers who are mentors, a curriculum that connects to life, and a school community that celebrates who each student is becoming.
Where learning comes alive
Imagine your child cooking a meal from scratch, performing on stage, painting outdoors, and learning math through hands-on exploration — all in one week.
That's an ordinary week at RCS. We offer academic and enrichment classes for homeschooling families with children ages 5–12, with flexible scheduling and charter school funding options. A parent-participation community where kids thrive and families belong.
