Parent Involvement

Roseville Community School (RCS) is a parent participation school. We recognize that parents are the first teachers in a child's life. We both need and appreciate the unique skills and talents that our parents contribute to the school environment. Parent involvement supports our belief that we learn best in a multi-aged community.

At RCS, students, parents, and teachers work together to create a dynamic learning environment. Parents act as facilitators in the classroom, helpers on the play ground, and model positive adult behavior. Each family is invited and encouraged to actively participate in the daily activities of the school in addition to general maintenance responsibilities throughout the year. This helps to foster knowledge about our school, creates ownership over the environment as well as helps to lower tuition cost.

Parent contribution is vital to RCS. While most families are able to participate, we recognize that this is not always possible. We have varies volunteer projects to accommodate parents availabilities.

Parents also participate in creating and running fundraising and special events. In 2016, our fundraising opportunities included running a fireworks booth, a 50/50 raffle, and a Chipotle dinner night. In 2017, our two special events are the RCS Flea Market and the Garden Gathering. While these special events help raise funding for the school, they are also opportunities for our community, current families and alumni, to gather and celebrate our unique niche in education. Our parents are essential to the success of our school!
