Younger Program (Grades 1-3)
When enrolling in our afternoon enrichment classes, you will have one hour of Open Play before the class to support social-emotional development, including perspective-taking, problem-solving, and collaborative work.
STEAM/Art/Team Building
STEAM Workshop
In this maker-centered class, students combine science, technology, engineering, art, and math to explore real-world challenges through design and innovation. From building prototypes to conducting experiments, children engage in hands-on projects that spark curiosity, develop critical thinking, and inspire inventive problem-solving.
Art
In our Art Class, students explore color, texture, shape, and form using a variety of materials and techniques. Through a process-based approach, children are encouraged to express themselves freely while developing fine motor skills and artistic confidence.
Session often also includes an artist study, where students learn about renowned artists and try out their techniques—gaining exposure to different styles, mediums, and cultural perspectives while creating original work inspired by the masters.
Team Building & Collaboration
Our team-building activities are designed to strengthen communication, empathy, and group collaboration. Whether through cooperative games, creative challenges, or group problem-solving tasks, students build trust, develop leadership skills, and deepen their sense of community and belonging.
Musical Theater
Our Musical Theater Program introduces students to the joy of performing through singing, dancing, acting, and storytelling. In a playful, supportive environment, children build confidence and teamwork skills while bringing stories to life.
They also take part in prop-making, helping create the world of the play with their own hands. The program ends with a performance for friends and family—celebrating the students’ creativity and work.
Class includes one hour of Open Play before the class to support social emotional development: perspective taking, problem solving, and working together.
Cooking/Nature Maker's Lab
Cooking Class
In our hands-on Cooking Class, a chef guides small groups of up to eight students through the process of creating delicious, seasonal dishes. Each class emphasizes food safety, proper tool handling, and kitchen hygiene, helping students build confidence and independence in the kitchen.
After preparing the meal, students gather to taste their creations together. This shared table experience includes guided discussions about flavors, textures, and ingredients—encouraging students to express what they enjoy, notice, or might change. It’s a wonderful way to connect, reflect, and explore food as a creative and cultural experience.
Nature Maker's Lab
This class is a hands-on space where science, art, and imagination meet the natural world. In this interdisciplinary class, students become makers, tinkerers, and problem-solvers, using natural and upcycled materials to design, build, and explore. Inspired by the rhythms and wonders of the outdoors, each lab invites children to observe seasonal changes, ask their own questions, and create projects rooted in curiosity and care for the Earth.
From building insect hotels and wind-powered sculptures to making plant-based dyes and nature journals, children will engage in open-ended investigations that support skills in science, engineering, art, and storytelling. Emphasis is placed on student voice, collaboration, and process over product. Every lab is an opportunity to deepen connections with nature, express creativity, and think like an innovator.
