Roseville Community School provides flexible full-time and part-time K–6 options that combine progressive, project-based academics with hands-on enrichment and homeschool-friendly supports. Our programs nurture whole-child development — academic growth plus social and emotional learning — through small classes, multi-age collaboration, and real-world, creative experiences.
Which Program Placement is Right for Your Child?
At Roseville Community School, we don’t place children in traditional “grades.” Instead, we take a more holistic approach—looking at the child as a whole, considering social, emotional, and developmental readiness.
Here’s a general guide to how our multi-age programs align with traditional grade levels:
Kindergarten– Typically includes children in Kindergarten and 1st grade
Younger/Middle Program– Roughly equivalent to 1st/2nd grade and 2nd/3rd grade, respectively
Upper Program – Usually 4th through 5th grade
We intentionally overlap between programs. The goal is to place children in cohorts where they’ll thrive—alongside peers with similar social/emotional development and readiness to participate in our community-centered learning environment.
For help determining the best fit for your child, we invite you to discuss placement during your tour. We’re here to help you find the environment where your child will feel known, supported, and inspired to grow.
