Music
The music program is designed to support students’ awareness of sounds, rhythm, form, and expression while experiencing the joy of music. Singing is a whole school activity that brings the community together to practice, learn, and play with songs, both new and old. It gives the students a safe space to build confidence in using their voices.
Songs with hand motions as well as “stand-up” songs with full-body movements encourage students to familiarize themselves with rhythms, give a physical reminder of words, and aid in memorization.
Singing is an important communal gathering time, where we sing old, well-loved songs, and introduce new ones too.
It is our school tradition to perform at Eskaton Village Roseville for Valentine's Day and Halloween.
