Katrina - Younger Program (Grades K-1) Teacher
My name is Katrina, but my students affectionately refer to me as Ms. K. I've taught children in multiple capacities for over 20 years, and I'm a strong believer in experiential learning through play. Through my commitment to a positive learning environment, I strive to empower students to investigate, discover, and explore the world around them. In my classroom, mistakes are embraced as new discoveries and students are encouraged to be creative thinkers, as well as compassionate community members. A fun fact about me is that I have almost 30 animals at home, including turtles, chickens, a crested gecko, and a fish. I even wrote a book about one of my chickens!
